Recap of Chapter 74
The previous chapter starts with a little backstory of Canis and her sister. It shows how they struggled with their life when they were kids. To live, they survived on the battlefield and became sharp like swords.
Canis’s sister couldn’t believe that her brother was getting his a** kicked by a mage student. Next, we move toward Canis’s POV where he seems to be talking with someone. This might be related to his black magic.
He was informed that he was hit by light that contained mass. It seems like it was dangerous to deal with Shirone however, he also has a trump card.
Back to the fight, Canis started to use the shadow world to move wherever he wanted in the marked places. This was causing some problems for Shirone however, he could calculate it easily.
Shirone attacked him by predicting his location but then a monster appeared that looked exactly like Venom from Spider-Man and was able to block the light attack that contained Mass.
After that, we were shown the backstory of Alfeas where he was informing Sharof, a light specialist mage that his theories on light are old and incorrect.
Thoughts and Conclusion
There is a high chance that Sharof might be that monster. He would have met with Victor and become like this. Meanwhile, it is good to see the real fights happening in this series. Season 1 was always considered not up to the mark because of lacking action and serious magic fighting.
