Recap of Chapter 239
The previous chapter starts with the team leader feeling despair. She is worried that Sook Young already knows the real identity of the culprit. Hseung walks out of the room sees her distressed face and is worried for her.
We then see the flashback of the team leader’s past where how she used to do anything to climb the ladder of success. Now what if Sook Young’s boyfriend wakes up and recognizes her? The life she has built by doing dirt deeds will crumble. What will happen to her daughter, she did all this to protect her.
After that, we were shown Sook Young who was shooting for the fundraising campaign, and told about her story. The CEO was very angry as to why the vice president was delaying and not bringing Sook to him.
Walking on an edge
Juwan steps in and tells the CEO that Sook Young will come to him on her own. The scenario then shifts toward Hseung who was walking on the road and is in deep thought.
He already knew about the team leader’s case and somewhat blamed himself too for Sook Young’s current state. He wants to tell Sook Young everything but is also worried about what will happen to the team leader.
That’s when he receives the call from Sook Young who says to him that she is missing him.
