Chapter 151 of Chainsaw Man was titled, ‘The Return of the Chainsaw Man,’ The public safety group was still attacking Denji and Nayuta. They said that because of him they burned his house.
That only made Denji more mad at them. It appears that Barem is accusing Denji of becoming a country mouse after being complacent under the protection of public safety and refusing to become a chainsaw man.
“These flames are your punishment” was one of the most terrifying parts of Nayuta’s words, and Barem fought against his control. It was heartbreaking to watch Denji wave Pochita (and his regular life) away, and it was hilarious to see him chuckle as he turned into Chainsawman. It was also awesome how Denji transformed in the last panel with the burning cross.
What Happened Before?
From the start of Chapter 150 of Chainsaw Man onward, Denji and Nayuta are making their way home through winding lanes. While they go, they jot down how calm everything seems, despite the horrible scene—for instance, people going about their workday as a truck loads bodies nearby. Nayuta frets over the prospect of attending class tomorrow, while Denji daydreams about his ordinary life thus far and the incredible things that have happened as a result.
He is overjoyed to tell Pochita that he can now live a normal life and that he is no longer required to be Chainsaw Man. Denji then finds out that a bird has become Pochita after he steps on it. Even though he is now a child, Denji tells Pochita that he knows their dream has come true. Pochita asks Denji what he wants after he mentions that his next fantasy could be having a lot of money or girls.
Attack on Denji
Upon learning that Barem Bridge and other churchgoers had set fire to their home upon waking up. Playing Chainsaw Man is Denji’s next fantasy role. Barem tripped Denji and made fun of him over the dogs’ deaths as he hurried in to rescue them. At the same moment that Fumiko Mifune and others arrive, Denji takes aim with his starting gun and begins firing at Barem. The chapter concludes with the Whip Hybrid launching an attack on Mifune and his companions.
