Recap of Chapter 43
Chapter 43 of Jinx starts with, Kim thinking about the previous talk with ex-lover. Suddenly due to a rock, he fell from his bike. He hurt over knees and his hands.
Next, we see him treating Jaekyung’s shoulder. Suddenly some of his blood from the bandage got brushed over his shoulder. Jaekyung also noticed that he was missing his meals in recent days.
The day before Jaekyung’s birthday, the gift finally arrives. It even came with a message card so that Kim could write a message too.
Jaekyung drunk!
They arrived at the gym, where everyone surprised Jaekyung with a cake and birthday songs. Jaekyung looked a little pi**ed here. However, the coach was there to calm him down and told him to relax a little.
And at night, everyone went to a restaurant to have a party. We see everyone eating happily and even drinking too. Meanwhile, Jaekyung was not drinking at this point.
However, by mistake, he drank the soju glass of Kim thinking it was water. And I can tell he is not a drinker as he got pretty drunk quickly.
At the end of the Jinx Chapter 43, he even says in front of everyone that he is taking Kim home tonight.

What happened before?
At the beginning of Jinx Chapter 42, Kim expresses concern over Jaekyung’s shoulder. It is clear from reviewing the previous reports that his injury has worsened significantly. No amount of convincing can sway Kim’s decision. Instead, he should focus on preventing his injury from worsening to the best of his ability.
Kim keeps thinking about Jaekyung’s upcoming birthday and how a small surprise present would lift his spirits. He longs to change roles and experience what it’s like to be on the receiving end.
After scouring his entire house, Kim finds nothing that he can give him as a present. He has all he needs as he is a world champion athlete. At last, he lands on his old, worn-out automobile key chain. He looked it up online and discovered that it cost about $700.
Doc Dan makes the decision to get a job and start saving up for it. The night shift for food delivery became his norm. Even though Jaekyung didn’t enjoy it, he slept during the day.
We last saw Kim reuniting with Jaekyung’s ex-boyfriend in the Jinx Chapter. It all started when the ex-lover began to trash-talk Jaekyung. To go a step further, he claims that Kim is nothing more than a tool, just like everyone else.
