Recap of Chapter 492
Chapter 492 of Lookism starts with Seongji heading for Shimyung. However, James Lee who we thought got heated by him got up again. He says that he only works for Charles Choi. Lee admits that Seongji is stronger than the other first-generation Kings.
This time fighting against him. Lee was able to increase his speed more. But he still got wrecked by Seongji. But fighting against him, Lee started to overcome his limits a lot earlier. James Lee was growing while fighting against Seongji.
But before they can complete their fight, the three goons working under Shimyung are able to catch the kids. Seongji then made a deal with Shimyung, to let the kids and Vin Jin go away. He will take their pain instead.
Brawl
Shimyung agrees to it, and everyone starts to beat up Seongji. James Lee offers his help if he joins his group. However, Seongji doesn’t say a word and takes the pain and beating without screaming.
The shaman has cut his extra finger and toes. And then Shaman says that he will kill the kids too. But as the chapter is about to end, we see the first-generation kings coming all together to help Seongji in this situation.
I expect nothing more than a brawl between the first-generation kings and the goons working under Shaman in the next chapter.
Chapter review
I really like how this chapter anticipates James’s war with the Kings and what might happen to kill Seongji and Soojin (similar to the events in The Wailing, the film that started this story arc), with Seongji dying in an ambush and Soojin dying when she is all alone and undefended. Also, we will be able to see the first-generation kings fight in their prime.
