Recap of Chapter 51
The previous chapter starts with Adeshan thanking Ronan for saving her. But now, Ronan wanted to hear the reason as why she wanted to become the grand commander.
Ten years ago there was an invasion incident which was carried out by werehumans, “Night of the Canine”
It was the first battle between empire which wanted to expand the territory towards the North, and the werehumans wanted to block them.
That was the night, when Adeshan lost her family. Her mother, brothers, and everyone left to fight against the werehumans who were attacking the village.
Reasons
There was no strategy and all of them were just driven to their death. Shortly after, the empire and werehumans coalition finished their ceasefire negotiation. Her village was sacrificed as a result of the process. They could have negotiated peacefully and even if they wanted to fight, there were so many strategies to use.
That’s why Adeshan wants to become the grand commander so there will be no more meaningless sacrifices.
Ronan realizes that he can’t stop her from achieving her dream. Then Ronan talks about the shadow mana before pushing her off the cliff. Now that Adeshan has been eliminated, we have Ronan and Schlieffen who are going to fight next.
