Recap of Chapter 104
The previous chapter starts with Marin meeting Gojo’s neighbors and Non-Chan. They were Gojo’s cousin neighbors, the “Ayogi Family” to be specific. Soon, they will be moving nearby.
When they ask about how much Gojo was recently practicing, he let them all know that he wasn’t practicing too much. Marin felt the guilt and surely realized her mistake at some point here.
She left from there by saying that she had to go for a part-time job. The Ayogi family then were back to their home, where they thought that Marin might be Gojo’s girlfriend.
Hina Dolls!
After that, we saw the backstory of Non-Chan and Gojo when they were kids. Non-Chan was always ready to play with Gojo. Then, she heard how Gojo used to cry all night after he lost his parents in the accident.
She used to visit him every time but for some reason, Non-Chan wasn’t able to play with him. Then, one day she heard that Gojo had taken a liking to Hina dolls and they were thinking about moving to his grandfather’s place.
One day, her anger burst when they were together as she told him that Hina dolls are for girls and she hates him. Back to the present, we see Marin crying on the floor at the end of the chapter.
Thoughts and Conclusion
This chapter had so much emotion and trauma. First, we saw Gojo’s trauma, Marin’s sudden guilt, and Non-chan’s lifelong guilt from that moment. At least, she didn’t turn out like a pure villain.
She is just a character who had made some mistakes and had some regrets. Excellent character writing by Fukuda-sensei making it as real as it gets.
