Next Nepo Stars– Bollywood, just like India, has been a place of diversity. Actors and actresses from different regions have made their name. But still, the industry is highly dominated by those, who have a very strong hold over it. Those who come from a very strong family or a family who already is in the Bollywood industry find their way easily to the top. But, the situation is not the same with those who are busy giving auditions and paying rents in the dream city Mumbai.

Overall, there will be many who will become stars in the coming time, the only difference will be that some will become the next nepo stars, while some will become the next self made stars. 

It’s All About Perspective

Before saying anything about Bollywood and its practices, one should know the meaning of nepotism. When strong and influential people favour their children, family members and relatives over others in any field is nepotism. 

On one hand nepotism is wrong and on other it is not. When we look from the perspective of those who come from a strong family, then you will find that they aren’t wrong. Because, getting born is not in your hands. A cricketer’s kid can become a cricketer, an actor’s kid can become an actor, a politician’s kid can become a politician, because they have the freedom to do so. If they are getting things easily, then that’s all because their father or their grandfather worked day and night for that. And maybe that is the reason their kids become the next nepo stars.

When we see nepotism from the perspective of those who do not have a strong and influential family, then we will find it wrong. Because all those places where a hardworking person can make his name, are already filled by a person with a strong background.

Next Nepo Stars, Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor

These two actresses come from strong and influential families. Suhana Khan is the daughter of Bollywood’s iconic actor and superstar Shahrukh Khan, while Khushi Kapoor is the daughter of a well known director and producer Boney Kapoor. Recently, both these actresses were seen in a movie named ‘The Archies’, directed by Zoya Akhtar. The Archies is the debut film for both the young actresses and they did quite well. 

What I think is, having a pre-formed perception about these actresses based on nepotism is a wrong approach. One should make their decision based on how talented and how hardworking an actor or actress is. If Suhana or Khushi truly have that charm of Shahrukh Khan and Sridevi, then they will surely become the next nepo stars.
