Plot and Recap
The first adventure in “Delicious in Dungeon” is a bite-sized one in which an adventurer named Laios leads a group of people into the belly of a maze. Among them are the loud warrior Marcille and the careful elf Chilchuck. Their aim? Flourishes, riches, and perhaps some mishmash.
A fire-breathing beast interrupts their exploration, sending them scrambling back to the beach with their beards shaved and their bellies empty.
Despite his defeat, Laios remains determined and comes up with a gourmet scheme. The very creatures they vanquish will fuel them as they become independent adventurers, rather than moping about like deflated souffles. Not your average dungeon crawl—this one’s a five-course race!

Laios and his companions meet the seasonal dwarf Senshi, a master of dungeon cuisine, on the first floor of the dungeon, a surprisingly lively marketplace for adventurers.
His insight illuminates the edible potential of their environment like garlic in the fall. Stewed slimes have an unexpected gelatinous texture, basilisks produce tasty nuggets from their tails, and imitators—well, they may take on any form, including edible dragon scales!
