Recap of Chapter 42

Jinx Chapter 42 starts with Kim worried about Jaekyung’s shoulder. By seeing the old reports, it’s obvious that his injury has gotten even worse now. Kim knows he can’t change his mind. So instead he needs to do his best and make sure his injury doesn’t get even worse.

Kim remembers Jaekyung’s birthday coming soon and he thinks a little surprise gift might fix his mood. He has always been on the receiving end, but this time he wants to be on the other hand.

Part-time job

Kim searches through his all house and discovers that there is nothing he can gift him. Being a world-champion athlete, he already owns everything. Finally, he ends up on his car key chain which has been worn out. He searched on the web to find out that it cost around 700 dollars.

Doc Dan finally decides to start doing some job and save some money for it. He ended up doing the food delivery work at night. During the day, he even took a nap which Jaekyung didn’t like.

At the end of the Jinx Chapter, we see Kim meeting Jaekyung’s ex-boyfriend. The ex-lover started to talk sh*t about Jaekyung. He even says that Kim is not someone special and he is just a tool like others.

Once Jaekyung gets sick of him, he will be thrown out too just like others. Hearing that made Kim break and that’s where the chapter ended. Surely the next Jinx Chapter 43 will be filled with lot of drama and emotions.

What happened before?

Kim begins to recollect the recent events in Jinx Chapter 41. By the time they got back to Korea, everyone had made it to the gym. Looking forward to the next panel, we witness Kim paying a medical visit to his grandmother.

He surprised his grandma with a pink shall. His vacation to the United States was enjoyable, he said. Even her grandma watched the Jaekyung match on TV, her grandma told him. He should do more good for Jaekyung, she tells Kim, because she is so proud of him.

Sitting alone on the bench in the garden area is Kim. At this same moment, his journey to the United States consumed all of his thoughts. Additionally, the items he brought along with Jaekyung on their journey. This is where the art shone. Stunning, which only adds to Kim’s endearingness.

He comes clean about his love for Jaekyung at last. In addition, his birthday is just around the corner. Thoughts of how drastically his outlook had shifted occurred to him at home while Kim stared at him.

Injury on the way?

He was terrifying at first, but now he thinks he’s hot. They were at the gym three weeks before Jaekyung’s birthday.

As we go on to Jinx Chapter 41, we see that his birthday presents have begun to pile up. All Jaekyung can think of them as space. While Jaekyung is sparring, Kim feels pain in his shoulder. He returned to the room to examine his shoulder, which he found to be in even worse shape than previously.
