Chapter 48 of Jinx starts with Kim getting calls from an unknown number. He is still depressed after hearing the report and condition of his grandmother.
Just when he was about to enter the gym someone approached him. His name is Choi Gilseok and he is the director of the King of MMA Gym. He wants to have a chat with Kim.
However, Kim rejects him straight. But this guy suddenly brings up the topic of his grandma and her health. He says that he might have some information that might be useful for him. For his grandma, Kim agrees to go with him.
Next in Jinx Chapter 48, we see both of them having a conversation in a cafe. Kim asked how he knew about his and his grandma’s condition. The director tells him he is someone he has a great interest in. Kim’s skills are already famous in every gym.
Kim rejection
Kim was already able to tell that something was fishy here. That’s right this guy came to recruit Kim at all cost. Even though Kim denied him he was still reluctant.
He can even double the salary of Kim and provides more benefits. Kim however still rejects him. But then he once again brings up the topic of his grandma. He says that they may provide her with some other treatment with better drugs.
This offer was a little hard to reject. I thought that Kim might join them for his grandma. However, he still rejected it. Neither he can take this offer and neither he can share the information about Jaekyung. And he left from there.
Back at Jaekyung’s home, he arrived late at night. Jaekyung directly went to study the video and clips of his opponent. Kim tried to offer him a message. He also wanted to talk about the recent events. But Jaekyung rejected him.
The chapter ended with Jaekyung getting a text from an unknown number. It was a picture of Kim and the director from the cafe. Clearly, they are trying to bring a discord between Kim and Jaekyung.
