Recap of Chapter 347
While touring the haunted mansion, Jazz, Lied, and Purson were startled by Lied’s scream, so they physically restrained him to calm him down. As it turns out, all that touched his face was a piece of décor.
They also noted that it was quite dark inside. Then they found some paper that instructed them to stroke the doll’s head three times. They used a game of “rock, paper, scissors” to decide who would have to do it, and they picked our unfortunate Lied.
When the doll began to move and tangled Lied’s long hair, the terrified lied patted it three times, and jumped back in relief. They were so frightened that they bolted.
Garuna
‘Lied’ then realized they had a paper in his hand and read it. It signaled that they should remain still when they entered a passageway.
As they go by, a bizarre and terrifying machine appears. After it was over, they sighed and wondered if they would survive.
They wasted little time making their way through the spooky mansion to reach their last destination. The region they arrived to was less frightening and more picturesque.
They beheld a concealed picture, perhaps depicting a Garuna, which was gradually revealing its true nature. Garuna had their attention until she spoke, and they remained transfixed. Even if it’s in their nature to look away from the artwork and simply walk away, they find themselves unable to do so.
Then they read an article encouraging them to be courageous and destroy the artwork, so that’s exactly what they did. As soon as the light went out, a voice warned them not to burn her because she would curse them. The night sky echoed with their cries.
