Who is Diablo in Reincarnated As A Slime s3

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 1 showed us more information and magical abilities of Diablo. But exactly who is he and why is he so strong?

After evolving into a demon lord, Rimuru summoned three demons of which one was the primordial demon Noir. He is the most mysterious and most powerful demon among them.

Rimuru gave him the name, “Diablo”. He is truly devoted and faithful to Rimuru. Even more than Shion. Well in strength no one can match him among the Rimuru followers for now.

He will do anything to gain praise from Rimuru. He would gladly follow orders to slay without hesitation because, as a demon, he has no feelings or attachments to anyone. Those closest to Rimuru, including his friends and family, would be the only ones to escape his fury. One of the most powerful and uncommon demon lineages, he is the one from whom the “black demons” derive.

How Strong Diablo truly is?

Diablo is easily the strongest subordinate under Rimuru right now. He is a Demon Progenitor, which means he is one of the oldest begins. Not only he is strong and most efficient with magic, but Diablo is also smart and has wits for strategy and politics. We saw in Reincarnated As A Slime s3 episode 1, how he carried out Rimurus’s orders and caused the FARMUS kingdom to fall. The political collapse that resulted in the installation of a puppet king was his invitation and creation.

Even if someone were to manage to destroy his body and core, they would still have little chance of defeating him. As a Progenitor, Diablo possesses an inherent power that makes him immune to death itself.

Spoiler Alert: The day will come when Benimaru is just as powerful as Diablo, and another will emerge from the same team, but they never fought against each other as they are all allies under Rimuru.

Is he stronger than Rimuru or Veldora? No, aside from both of them, he is currently the strongest in Reincarnated As A Slime s3.
