On May 23, 2024, Toho announced that it would acquire Science Saru Anime Studio. The company will be taking all the shares from its CEO, “Choi Eun-Young,” on June 19th. This will strengthen the company’s animation production capabilities.

Know about Science Saru Anime Studio
This news was first reported by Gamebiz. The goal is to speed up the expansion of the group’s animation division, which had a 90% increase in operating revenue to 46.2 billion yen in the most recent fiscal year ending in February 2024.
Science Saru Anime Studio was founded back in 2013 and has produced many anime and films.
2017 feature film “Lou’s Song at Dawn” took home the Grand Prix in the feature category at the world-renowned Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the Grand Prize in the Animation Division at the Japan Media Arts Festival.
Nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film, “Inu-Oh” garnered rave reviews around the world after its 2022 release, including Japan.
Some of the famous series by Science Sari Anime Studio are, Devilman Crybaby, Super Shiro, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, and many more. Even the upcoming Dandadan anime is been done by them which is going to release in October 2024.

Dandadan Anime
Based on what we know from MyAnimeList, Dandadan explores the chance meeting of Momo Ayase and an enigmatic boy. A fortuitous meeting with the boy sets Momo on a path of self-discovery that is both dangerous and mysterious, drawing her into a realm of mystical secrets. As their bond grows in the mysterious underworld, our heroes venture into unexplored terrain, oblivious to the perils that await.
