About Renaissance, Beyonce’s Album

Renaissance was the 7th studio album released by American singer & songwriter Beyonce. By Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, the album was released on 29th of July 2022. The Renaissance album was recorded by her during the Covid-19 pandemic. The reason behind she recording this album was to inspire people and spread joy among listeners who feel isolated and feel liberated through dance and music.

This is Beyonce’s take on Renaissance: Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgement. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom.

On her social media account on June 30 2022, she posted an image in which she is seated on top of a crystal horse in a bikini shot by fashion photographer Carljin Jacobs.

As per the critics, Renaissance has a playful and very innovative style. It is a blend of various styles and genres of post 1970s music and dance.
