Netflix is all set to release an upcoming black comedy action series named, ‘The Brothers Sun’. Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu together have created this highly anticipated comedy series in association with Netflix. Big names like Michelle Yeoh and Justin Chien are part of the cast of the series. Nathan Matthew David and Nick Lee, together have composed the series. Along with Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu, Kevin Tancharoen and Mikkel Bondesen are the executive producers of the series. The Brothers Sun Release Date
The makers of the series have released the 1st official trailer on Netflix official platform and Youtube. Within the timespan of 3 days, as the trailer was released on 7 December 2023, 1.3 million people have watched it. The expectations of it to reach an even larger audience is high, because of the increasing hype about the series around the world.
The Brothers Sun will be released on Netflix official site on 4th of January 2023.
The series will only be available on Netflix, as Netflix is the official distribution partner.

Plot of The Series
The story of ‘The Brothers Sun’ series is based on brothers who belong to a gangster family. Bruce Sun’s life gets completely changed when his elder brother Charles Sun goes to Los Angeles, California from Taipei, Taiwan. Bruce, out of blue moon, comes to know that he belongs to a gangster family, also his brother, a renowned gangster raised by his gangster boss father.
Their father was assassinated and because of that, older brother Charles moves to LA, for family safety. Also their mother takes Bruce to California, in order to keep everyone safe, but now when Bruce knows everything about their family, all her mother’s efforts go into vain. Now, Bruce must learn the way to live like a gangster and adapt to that lifestyle.
Development and Filming
On 2 February 2022, the production of the series, ‘The Brothers Sun’ was announced by Netflix along with Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu. It was also announced that the series will consist of a total of 8 episodes, with Kevin Tancharoen directing the series.
The principal photography of the series started on 13 June 2022. Los Angeles, Taipei (Taiwan), and California are the places where the filming took place. Up till 23 September 2022, the shooting was finished.
