The Bikeriders, An American Drama Film by Jeff Nichols

Finally the date is finalised for the theatrical release of an American drama film named, ‘The Bikeriders’. Jeff Nichols has written and directed the movie. Jeff Nichols got the inspiration from the 1967 photo-book having the same name ‘the bikeriders’ by Danny Lyon. The movie shows the lives of a motorcycle gang named ‘Outlaws MC’. Sarah Green, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Arnon Milchan have produced the movie. The production companies involved are Regency Enterprises, New Regency and Tri-State Pictures. The Bikeriders Theatrical Release Date

The makers of the movie released the official 2nd trailer on Focus Features’ Youtube channel, as it is one of the distribution partners. On 29th of February 2024 the trailer was released and within the time span of 10 days more than 10 million people have watched it. The movie is a much anticipated one, since it has such a versatile and amazing cast along with a great storyline. 

The Bikeriders theatrical release date is 21st of June 2024. 

On 31st of August 2023, the movie premiered in the 50th Telluride Film Festival. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie got a rating of around 86% and overall 6.7/10.

Plot of the Movie  

This movie shows the story of a 1960s bikers group, about their rise and fall. How Vandals MC, a Chicago’s outlaw motorcycle group rose to glory and vanished to the ashes. The lives of the members and their families are shown, their evolution over a period of a decade. How from a group of motorcycles, they turned into a violent organised crime group.  

Development & Filming

Jeff Nichols had the idea of making a film based on bikers, however he didn’t have the script back then in 2018. New Regency agreed to produce the movie, when Jeff wrote the screenplay of the movie with his original idea. 

In October 2022, the principal filming of ‘The Bikeriders’ began in Cincinnati, Ohio and till December of that year the filming concluded.
