Netflix is all set to release an upcoming Japanese romantic anime film named, ‘Maboroshi’. The actual and complete name of the movie is ‘Arisu to Teresu no Maboroshi Kojo’. In English it is ‘Alice and Therese’s illusory factory’. Mari Okada along with Seimei Kidokoro have directed the movie together. Mari Okada has served as the sole writer of the movie. Manabu Otsuka has produced the movie. The production company which has taken care of the production and animation is MAPPA. Maboroshi Release Date
The makers of the movie released the official trailer on Netflix site and Netflix’s official Youtube channel. The trailer was released on 26 November and within the time span of 3 weeks, more than 202 thousand people have watched the trailer. The expectations of it to reach an even larger audience is high, because of the increasing anticipation about the movie.
The makers in association with Netflix will release the movie Maboroshi on 15th of January 2024.
The Movie will only be available on Netflix, as it is the official distribution partner.

Plot of the Movie
The story of Maboroshi revolves around a boy named Masamune. Masamune lives in a small town and strangely the time has stopped in that small town due to the explosion at a steel factory. All the avenues of escape have been sealed off. Everyone in the town has a hope that everything will be back to normal and therefore, town people make the rule that nothing will be changed until everything goes back to normal. Masamune spends his time in the town in depression and he has a friend named Mutsumi. New events unfold as the story progresses and turns into a sci-fi, fantasy anime with lots of ups and downs.
Production
MAPPA is the production company involved in the movie. Yuriko Ishii has taken care of the designing of the characters, whereas Masaru Yokoyama has composed the music for the film.
Warner Bros Japan is the official distribution partner in Japan. They released the movie Maboroshi in theatres on 15th of September in Japan.
